Remote Assistance

Sometimes you need help with your computer and there's no need for us to
visit you for you to get that help.
Using Remote Assistance we can help you by connecting to your computer and
controlling it whilst you watch.
In order for Remote Assistance to work you must have:
- A broadband (or similar fast) Internet Connection
- A computer running Windows XP
If you have been asked by us to use this service then it is free.
If you want
to have help but we have not invited you to use this service then we may charge
you an hourly rate of £10.00 whilst connected. If we fail to solve the problem
then there is no charge.
Before using Remote Assistance please contact us to arrange a convenient
time for us to help you.
If you are ready to use remote assistance then follow the guide below to
set up a session.
- Go to Start -> Help & Support
- Click on 'Invite a friend to connect to your computer with Remote
Assistance'

- Click 'Invite someone to help you'


- Enter your name and a message as described then click 'Continue >'

- Set the time limit to 1 hour
- Set the password as 'mydreamdesigns'
- Click 'Send invitation'

- Allow access to your email program using the setting below if this
message appears.

- If this message is shown click 'Yes' when you are able to.

- When we receive you invitation we will connect to your computer. You
must be at your computer at this stage in order to accept the
connection.
- Once we are connected to your computer and you have accepted, we
will take control of your computer's mouse. You should not try to use
your mouse at the same time.
- We will be in contact via a chat interface which will allow us to
ask you any necessary questions to help diagnose and solve your problem.
- When the session is finished we will disconnect from your computer.
- Warning: Do not send an invitation to someone to help you unless
you trust that person
